Friday Night Ice Breaker
In the past, 85% of our riders are in place and riding by Friday night 6 PM. Upon return to Base
Camp, our Rib Dinner and musical entertainment awaits you. We have had 'Western"
Storytellers, singers, music groups, Fiddlers, and absolutely nothing once when it was 45 degrees
with wind. We have a welcome program introducing our Staff, explaining the trails, and focusing
on newcomers that have never participated before. Staff meeting follows.

The Auction
Saturday night's auction has been a great addition to the fun at the Roman Nose Hills Trail
Ride. The auction helps pay for ride expenses and extend profits for the Watonga Hospital
Foundation, the benefactor of ride proceeds. Please bring donated items of all kinds, not just
horse-related, new and old. Prepare to have fun bidding. Business contributions or donations of a
higher value, we will gladly provide receipt and our non-profit tax number for your tax deduction
purposes. All checks made to Watonga Hospital Foundation are tax deductible. Consider bringing
a few items targeted for a rummage sale and join in the fun!

Let's play horse poker! The winner takes half the pot. It's
a simple game with a donation of $1 per hand or 6 hands
for $5. Players draw cards at the registration office or
Friday or Saturday night. Near 8PM Saturday we will
conclude with announcement of winner of "Best of 5
Cards." We ask participants to keep a 'Poker Face and
Poker Quiet,' if you get a great hand. It may reduce your
take if chances are reduced for others. Largest winnings
in the past have been close to $200 which covered the
winner's ride expenses!
